Let's be digi-nice during this time!

Some might think bullying ends just because no one is in school right now. With COVID-19 disrupting our school year, you are likely spending more time watching tv, playing video games, riding your bike, and fiddling around on your phone. Social media is a great way for us all to stay connected. Unfortunately, it can also be used as a platform to bully one another.

If you find yourself being bullied online and on social media, please tell an adult. It is NOT ok and you are never alone. Words can be painful, hurtful, and cause you distress. You have the right to stand up for yourself. You deserve to be treated with dignity.

Stay connected in responsible ways. If you are posting your own comments or images, please think before you do. Ask yourself if the images or words can be mis-understood, think about the message you are sending from different perspectives. Would you be fine if your parent, a respected teacher, or a little sibling saw what you are posting? If not, that may be a good indicator you should not hit "send."
